Hey so, this is probably a noob question but I have a Blackstar HT-Blackfire distortion pedal which is 22v's and I use a MXR DC Brick power supply which has an 18v output, is it okay to run the 22v pedal through the 18v output? Or do I have to use the individual power supply for the pedal.

A mate of mine said it will reduce the pedal's power but it won't hurt it, is that true?

Thanks.

I'd only use the recommended power supply unless Blackstar says its ok. What does their site say? Is this one of those pedals that get a "brown" sound with reduced voltage?

You can also email or call Blackstar and see what they say.
