What are some do and don'ts when recording from home? I've been having trouble with the sound of the vocals, as they usually doesn't sound as sharp as I would like. Any help would be appreciated.
This is a complicated question can't answer it fully, but get a quiet room, a condenser mic a vocals booth or something similar, and a pop filter. That's the main basic dos. It all also depends how good a recording you want it to be. It sounds like you're starting out, so there are probably many things about recording and mixing that you won't understand quite yet, so, it doesn't really matter all that much. I find recording is something that needs experience. You can't follow recipes. You need to understand what sounds like what.

So another do for me, is do all the don'ts, and then you'll know why they are donts.
