I recently bought the metal shop pack for POD Farm because I was looking for a fresh tone. I think it turned out pretty okay. I'm using the 5150 sim for rhythm, and a similar setup for the lead. Lemme know what you think!

take a listen

*On a side note, if anyone can point me in the direction of a mastering guide, or has some advice, it would be much appreciated. It's something I've been struggling with lately.*

Christballs that's awesome. It's heavy and has a really nice tight bottom end, but still leaves room for the bass to come in and provide it's own addition to that heaviness without it getting muddy. I'd probably buy POD Farm and the metal pack just for that sound if I wasn't already using Revalver and didn't want to shell out that kind of money again so soon.

BF17,
The ending was abrupt, but otherwise it sounds rather good! Audio quality is pretty good. I use a PodXT (amongst other amp modelers), but could never figure how to do the re-amping thing (at best I would get a mono signal on the left or right speaker). I just have to stick with the Line 6 amp model I record, and can add EQ & effects later on from elsewhere. Please review my music at this link:

You really got a great tone on this recording. The rhythm stuff is fat and chunky and the lead tone has a great kind of warmth and almost a neoclassical kind of sound to it. The riffs are cool too! Nice playing. I also quite like the backing tracks, in particular there are some interesting drum parts to really announce the different ideas. I cant find anything really bad to comment on with this recording, other than you should expand on it. It felt a bit cramped being only a minute long.

This demo is very techy and djenty. I really dig it. The phrasing at 0:35 was gorgeous. It kind of reminded me of Ryan Knight's solo style (The Black Dahlia Murder). There is definitely some worthwhile material here and it would be awesome if this developed into a larger work.
