Hey guys

So I have that little problem. I just installed all new electronics in my explorer (meaning I also replaced the volume and tone knobs).
I have now two passive humbuckers from Seymour Duncan. Like I mentioned in the title, the volume doesn't work and any way I switch, both humbuckers go to the output and make a sound.

Did you experience the same or the similar problems? How can I solve it?

Thanks for answering guys!

Kind regards, Dancone42

Can you take a photograph of the current wiring?

(Upload using tinypic or imgur, and paste the BBCode link in your post)

difficult to tell from your description.

do you have a wiring diagram you were working too? double check that you got it right and post a pic of your wiring diagram here so we can see if there is anything out of place

I found the right one on the seymour duncan website, I'll put it in the attachement.

well at least we now know you're using a schematic that should work.
as slapsymcdougal said, can you post a photo of your wiring in the control cavity ?

Sure, there you go: http://imgur.com/a/9wKPd

sorry but picture quality isnt good enough for me to be sure where wires are going there

I'll try again and upload it soon. Any tips on how you can see it more clearly?

better quality camera with a higher resolution may help.
if its imgur lowering the resolution, let me know and i'll PM you my email address for you to send them to me direct.

So I had a really close look at it again. Turns out, two wires have fallen out of the solder, so I'll reattach them. I'll give you an update wether it works or not.

Yes, you need to ground that 3rd lug of the volume pot, or it won't work.
