There shall be a stop to this madness. The battle is not over. My tasty licks aren't going anywhere.

^ I've just realised if you say Simple Plan's 2011 effort "Get Your Heart On!" really fast in a Southern American accent, it sounds gross. . .like sexual gross!

I am mostly a ringer but I use my middle finger too but very rarely.

Middle finger and thumb on my right hand. I can't snap with my left hand, save for the occasional fluke.

Well looks like I'm official hipster.
All you drones following the rest of society with your lame middle finger snapping.

Ring finger baby That's how I get down

You see there's this thing called snapping.
You like rub a finger against your thumb real quick like and it makes a snap sound. Hence the name snapping.

I always assumed that everyone used their thumb and ring finger for this because it's what I've always done.
Today it came to my attention that it may not be true and that most people use the thumb and middle finger.
And by the poll it looks like that is the case.

The sound is from your fingertip clapping against your palm, not the rubbing.

Can people snap with both hands?

I'm right handed yet I can not snap with my right hand I can only do it with my left hand. That's weird I think

#26

Middle finger. I prefer the right hand just because it feels less awkward, but I can snap with both hands. For some reason my left hand sounds different than my right hand. Like, they're similar volumes, but the left has more "pop". It sounds better than the right, but it's uncomfortable and my knuckles start hurting after a few times.
