The neck pickup on my grg120bdx just died on me, should I replace it or is there an easy fix? I'm guessing it's just because it is a cheap guitar and not the best quality pickups.

Yes, pickups don't normally break. It should be a wiring problem somewhere. Take it to a tech if need be.

Frankly on cheap guitars I wouldn't recommend buying premium pickups, as I'd rather get a better guitar. Then again used single pickups on ebay are cheap. See if you can get an evo, paf pro or air norton neck.

I would look at the wiring and switch first before replacing the pickup.

Also a cheap and easy way to improve your tone in bad pickups is to replace the ceramic bar magnet with an AlNiCo V or high quality ceramic bar, much more recommended in a cheaper guitar.
