So, I bought a new nylon string guitar and I don't know what happened, I tuned the B string all the way up to E before I realized what I was doing. Glad it didn't snap. It was a new set of EJ45.

So, since I have an important recording to make tomorrow, should I be worried that I might have damaged the string? Should I replace it just in case?

Thanks in advance!

I'm used to steel strings, so this could be completely the wrong advise...

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It may just shorten the lifespan on the string but if you got it back down to B then you should be good. If you feel uncomfortable playing with it, then go ahead and change it out! Better safe than sorry

By the way, I have some questions about guitars with nylon strings when you have the time...
