In the literal sense.

Basically, I was looking at the Way Huge Ringworm, and it's gorgeous. However, its 70mA current draw is more than my power supply can manage (It's 18V, and Diago's 18V adapter can only manage 30mA) and, not seeing the point in a separate adapter for just one pedal, I figure I might just as well find something else.

So the next best thing would be the Moog Minifooger Ring. The trouble is, it's grey. That's alright, but quite simply I much prefer bright-coloured pedals for the sake of putting me in the right frame of mind for making music, which might seem frivolous but I'd have a hard time explaining why it matters to me and I don't think that's necessary since my request is simple:

Could I get recommendations for any ring mod pedals in about the same price range as the Minifooger and the Ringworm that are a bit easier on the eyes. Of course, if the Minifooger is simply the best you can get for that money, feel free to let me know and I'll suck it up for the sake of the sound.

Thanks

Moogs are hard to beat at what they do. Still, visually, you might like the Pigtronix Mothership:

Yeah, I saw that and it looks interesting enough, but at £200+ on a good day it's not happening for me

Get a moog and cover it in stickers?

It's your pedal, cover it in glitter for all I care.

Fairfield Randy's Revenge Dunno bout your aesthetic requirements though.

Definitely dig both of these, they'll be on my radar once I get my money right for sure

While I've no objection to a bit of glitter, that's really not my style and I think if I'm spending even more of my emergency savings on guitar gear I should have room for a bit of vanity

i only played one ring modulator that was worth my time, that was the moog mf-102. it offers supreme flexibility, from a practical standpoint nothing comes close to the features it has.
