Nice song, really cool riffs on this one. However,mixing-wise,I think that your song lacks coherence. For example,1:10,where the lead kicks in distracted me quite a bit because the lead sounds...too different to my ears when compared to the rest of the mix. I can't say it any better. The rhythm guitar tone also sounds a bit thin to my ears. There's my thoughts, good job nevertheless!

Sick riffs man, sick riffs. I love the technical nature or it, reminds me of a slower version of Psycroptic! That tapping section at 1:54 is super fun and you obviously love your arpeggios xD anyway, I'd like to add that your guitar tone does seem to be asking for more, you know? Idk if that's what you were going for, but given you're using emg's (?) You could much more crunch out of it, and some low end on both guitars and bass woulda pretty sexy! All and all, sick composition, especially that intro when the solo kicked in. Pretty fun to hear.

Hope you can check my own post out:

Thanks for your feedback. I dont get what the leads sounding too different means though. I also already commented on your yrack which i enjoyed ☺

I think what he means is that your mix has very weak sounding rhythm guitars, then your lead guitar comes in and overpowers the entire track.

The lead needs to be dropped down in volume, and the background needs to be brought up, and they need to be leveled so that the lead adds onto the background, not overpower it.

If you could figure out that part of mixing, you would have a really really professional sounding song. Your guitar playing is very clean and your guitar tones are good, as well as your riffs and song structuring.

Ballsy techie metal man. Nice.. I love the tap. Reminds me a bit of Symphony X.

The mix I think needs a bit more low end on the guitars though. THis may be off genre but you could possibly also fatten the kick. It will add a bit of extra depth.

As for the C4C this is a track we launched last week (A rock/metal cover of Hello)

Thanks for listening man. I started with the same stuff but had a podfarm gx which is even crappier :O
Now i'm using a real amp and cab which I really enjoy. as far as cost I bought all my stuff used from friends so idk :/ but deff buy a good cab if you're going to buy anything of a lot of value. The guitar matters of course but i'd prefer a good amp/cab vs a great guitar any day for tone of course.the whole gear list is in the video description.

as far as recommendation for the sound I just suggest getting a good bass/drum mix and then the guitar will sound more full. I use the lead channel but with very low gain, it's actually at 2.5 and boost it with a Maxon 808. The drums are Superior Drummer which I really love.

I'd suggest getting a better daw, it'll be easier to work with. Reaper is the one I use and it's reasonably priced!

Love the ominous tone and playing, you nailed a vibe here instantly. Production quality is good, drums are bit robotic but hey what can you do? Playing is tight and as previously mentioned I love the tone of pretty much everything but the drums definitely take me out of the song. Solo is nice, again it's very cleanly played. The ending was pretty funny too man! Can't wait to here more of your work!

Here's a song I worked on that you can critique here: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1696884

I think you did a great job man. Myself I don't drop tune much at all, never was very comfortable, but for this song it brings a nice color to what you are playing. I'm gonna write something that will get me hated on UG, but I'm not big on sweep picking... I said it. Not that I can do it, I really can't, but I guess I am channeling my inner Gene Simmons with that comment. Now having said that, I do like how you use it in this case, it didn't feel forced to me and seemed to flow with the rest of what you were doing so I won't be to crappy about it. Overall, great technical stuff. Looking forward to more...

Nice man, your playing is very good, pretty technical, about the sound, it's good for the vid but if it was a metal song it would help a lot if the mix was bigger and a stronger drum sound would help too. Other than that it's awesome!

Here, check out my new song: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1700780

Thanks for checking it out man, I think sweep picking is cool as long as it's not forced or used to just show off kind of thing, Glad you enjoyed it~

Nice track man, lots of cool riffs and lead playing. Especially liked the intro riff and when it comes in distorted, the lead playing at this point is nice also. The following riffs and licks then take me back to when I used to listen to a lot of heavy and fast metal bands. (I still appreciate this sound today). You done a good job with the sound production as well. Guitar tone wise it's sounding killer and the drums are well mixed - they compliment the guitar playing well. I wonder if you get a real drummer to record drums for you.

Anyway, cool stuff man. Keep doing your thing.

Oh and if you're interested in some C4C here's my latest track called 'The Creatures of Earth' : https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1700493

Not as metal as your track but still a little bit metal
