I am looking at a used guitar that currently has a bigsby on it. I don't like or use a vibrato like that so I was wondering. How difficult/expensive would it be to convert that to a hard tail and would that likely have a bad effect on the tone of the guitar?

What guitar is it?

Nah. It might make the guitar sound very marginally different (and I'm talking about very marginal), but not necessarily bad sounding.

It is either an old Epiphone Casino or Sheraton. It is an old Epiphone Hollowbody electric. I am not familiar enough with Epiphones archtops to know which one for sure. It looks like someone wanted to do their best Brian Seltzer imitation with it.

Pictures would be great. If that came with a Bigsby you may be missing quite a few pieces. I have Bigsby tailpieces on two of my guitars and I like them but depending on how they were mounted you may end up with holes in the top and back by the strap pin when you remove it.
Yes I am guitarded also, nice to meet you.
