First off, I am running Bias FX on ios. I do not have a newer computer, just a 5 year old thinkpad, so most PC apps are kinda out for me unless I get a new computer.

I am starting to research the next step in amp and fx emulators.
I mostly play with studio headphones, but I have some studio monitors.

I'm willing to invest a few hundred dollars, but not more than maybe 5-600, and hoping for cheaper.

I am happy with many tones from Bias FX but there is a lack of clarity and really some muffling with every single setting. Almost like a blanket is covering the speaker, but more subtle. Amplitube ios was the same.

I hear axe fx vids on YouTube and think they sound great. Thing is, AxeFX is over $1000.

Are there any good but relatively inexpensive options for a better, clearer sound?

Thank you

I like guitar instrumental music like Paul Gilbert, Vai, Satch. Also want a half decent blues sound. I have a strat and an ibanez with Evos by the way.
