I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do it since the rules for advertising are rather vague imo. I'm not making any money for this project and I think some people on this forum might be interested in participating in this competition, since it's a singing competition? And you are allowed to link to youtube videos which could also be seen as advertising so I don't know where you draw the line.

It's time for yet another season of YouTube Idol! This is a singing competition started by me, P3shows on youtube. You will be judged by 3 judges. If you survive the first 1-2 rounds, you will sing songs in different themes in each episode and get honest feedback to learn your strengths and weaknesses and grow as a singer. One or several people will be eliminated in each episode until we have the winner. The winner gets not only the honor, but also an album with 3 original songs!

The rules document is long, but please read all of it before deciding to audition. Also take into consideration that this is a long-term competition. Season 2 lasted almost 5 months (counting from the release of episode 1), and this season will probably take as long. During that time, you will be expected to submit a cover at least twice a month. If you don't think you will have time in the future, please save us all, and yourself, some time and disappointment.

If you don't agree with the rules, I'd appreciate if you let me know why, maybe they can be changed.

--- Available roles ---

* Any age and gender.
* By sending in an audition, you agree with the rules. So please read the rules before auditioning.
* If you can't handle criticism or rejection, this is not for you.

How to audition:
Sing a part of a song of your choice without background music.

At least one new judge will be needed. Maybe more, if we ever need guest judges or if someone needs to be replaced.
The judge should be:
* Any age and gender, but preferably 15+ (unless you are mature for your age). As long as you can sound professional.
* Unbiased and fair.
* Not afraid to speak their mind.
* Have musical knowledge.
* Have enough time for this. Please read the rules for the judges before auditioning (probably best if you read all the rules btw). You will be expected to submit recordings for each final stage-contestant twice a month, and discuss with the other judges in a chat/discussion thread.

How to audition:
Please visit btva to audition for this part. You can still audition through email or youtube if you want to, but this includes judging two voice recordings, which are located here: http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/members/P3simsVid/casting-call/YouTube-Idol-Season-3/

* Any gender, but preferably a rather deep voice if you are a female
* Preferably adult, but I'm open to changing my mind, give it a shot!
* Be able to sound both engaged at some times and serious at some times (for example Line 3 should be serious except when you call best performance)

Lines for audition:
"A new season of Youtube Idol has begun! But it isn't the only thing that's new - let me introduce you to our new judge!"
"Thanks for watching, see you soon with the result! Please read the description for info about the missing contestants."
"The judges have deliberated, and they have reached a decision. I will call the contestants in order by their performance. The best performance in this episode goes to... Josh! Which means, PastelBoba and Casey, you two are up for elimination. The judges have chosen to save... PastelBoba."
"The winner of Youtube Idol is... Akane!"
"I'm sorry, Phoebe, your journey ends here. This was not an easy decision, because you have so much potential and a unique talent. We wish you luck in reaching your goals and dreams! Take care."
