So, being in the market for a new semi-hollowbody the Epiphone dot catches my eye.
Its cheap so I have some room for a few small mods in the budget, but I was wondering about its body shape.
While I've played one in store a few times and it feels like a Gibson shape...
the pictures online make it look slightly fatter than the size of a Es-335, and that messes up some plans I had to customize it, I can't find exact specs anywhere and the local GC has no real gibson hollows on the wall to do a side by side comparison.
Anyone know if they are in fact the same size?

A friend of mine has a Dot. He's a fairly accomplished gigging musician out East, and he lives it. Another has a Wildkat. She's a beginner, and she loves it.

There are + & - to each.

What are your modding plans?

I have a dot studio. I can measure it for you when I get home if I remember.

the body size is the same....
the shape (ears) might be minimal different, depends on when and where the Epi Dot was made
