It's Eurovision time! I believe our American friends get to watch it live this year? You should all most definitely tune in, it's fecking hilarious.

So far I have had some Pizza, I'm about to have Belgian waffles and I'm drinking a Swedish cider. I love Eurovision.

I wish everyone could get Graham Norton's commentary... brilliance.

Listening to Ken Bruces commentary on the radio until I get home
But boys will be boys and girls have those eyes
that'll cut you to ribbons, sometimes
and all you can do is just wait by the moon
and bleed if it's what she says you ought to do

I've not heard a single song yet, so i'm hearing them all live I hope Sweden wins, for no real reason other than I like the idea of visiting Sweden. Looks aces.

Yeah first time hearing them for me too... I watched one of the semi finals last year and it ruined the actual night for me as some rubbish songs always get through and some great ones don't/

I'm sure there's a valid reason for it, but why is Australia included ? Does Eurovision always have a world music guest each year now ?

If so, here's hoping for a J-Pop entry next year !

I think they can invite people... I'm sure there was a reason for it last year. The guy was good last year from Oz.

Ah cool, thanks for clearing that up.

These 3 backing singer dudes are a bit odd LOL

Hmmm, this Hungary entry sounds one of those ones that might potentially win it. One of those hold hands across the world type deals...

Wogan's best, was when he offended the entire nation of Denmark, that one year. Those two Danish hosts....hee hee...shout out, love and peace to ALL Danes...but those two hosts....LOL

Yeah. Headdress indeed. She was utterly beautiful, but i think she got her little sister to dress her, using clothes from the local school christmas play supply cupboard ! Saucer of milk, table three ! Get me, sat here in my pants and food stained shirt, having a go at her clothes. I literally hate everything i am...

But, to address your point...it was VERY Rihanna, i agree %100. Seems a lot of countries are approaching this EUROvision competition, with a VERY American angle...

I much prefer it when you get one or two Eastern European acts come on, playing psuedo rock/ska numbers. Those are usually always awesome. Who remembers Lordi ?

Well, that would fuck the gulf stream pretty royally.

Try pivoting it on it;s south eastern corner through 50 degrees or so.

This is why I'm in favour of sending Alestorm to represent the UK. We'd not win, but it would be good for a laugh.

Especially if they played Rumplekombo.

Seeing some GWAR ripoff bands was the only reason I tuned to this, but it's just full of quirky nerds and weebs doing pop songs.

Noooo thanks *hides thread*
