Anyone know any good cheap (free would be the best obviously) recording software i can use to record my guitar with drum beats and backing tracks?

I have been using Audacity since 2000.

Reaper is quite good and the trial period doesn't actually expire, it just nags you when you start the app.
However, it doesn't have a drum map so programming drums is a bit harder. It's worth finding an old copy of Cubase which has a great drum section. You should be able to find one quite cheaply and they are all good.

it is $60, and it is worth many times that.

thats all they are asking for, don't cheat them if you use it.
