for me it was probably after my wisdom teeth were taken out.
those were the worst few weeks of my life, could only eat soft foods like yogurt and noodles, i probably lost a lot of weight in that period too

sucked, not the mention the socket bleeding didn't stop until like 2 days after the procedure.. I was popping pills for like a month, constantly in pain

It was this really terrible lower bowel pain, still not sure what it was, it was like just above my pubic area. It woke me up one night a few years ago, and it was so bad that it made me shake and sweat and feel nauseous, never felt anything like it. Seriously seemed like I was dying.

I've had experiences not so much of crippling pain, but just feeling extremely ill.

I suffered a painfully infected wound just above my eyebrow that had swollen my left eye shut and the swelling even started encroaching on the other eye. I then developed shingles all over the left side of my face because of a weakened immune system.

I just felt incredibly sick and I vomited several times. I was off work for 2 weeks; the longest I've ever been off work/school ill in my life.

I had something like this. Honestly thought I was dying

I then literally farted for over a minute and the pain stopped

Actually that was probably the worst pain I've been in even if it was short

I hurt my lower back after lifting. I stupidly continued lifting even though I could feel somethong was wrong and was out of comission for two days. Other than that, I don't think I've ever been in any noteworthy pain.

Dislocated my knee. When I tried to get to a seated position, it popped back into place. I nearly fainted from the pain.
#12
probably the ball-tipped catheter I had when my kidneys were failing. I think the ball on the end inflates so it won't come out. It actually got tugged while I was there, and that wasn't pleasant either.

I've had like 200 catheters in me, but I remember that one more

i had all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once and it wasn't rough at all. i didn't even take the painkillers they prescribed afterwards

first thing that comes to mind is when i broke my nose as a child. my sinuses have been fucked ever since. late may to early august is always legit hell for me. there's a couple of weeks every single year where the headaches completely shut me down and i end up vomiting bullshit the whole time cause why not yknow?

also broke my ankle a few years later when some 200 pound 10 year old crushed my leg in a game of football. that sucked.

i had something like this too

went to the hospital cuz i thought it was appendicitis or whatever. they did a buncha screens, stuck a finger way up my bum and ruled out everything. i still get it every once in a while too so i don't know lol.

i probably got some nonsense going on in my urinary tract that i've whined about here before but i haven't gone back to my urologist out of pure fear of getting a catheter shoved in there. the thought of that alone is putting me in more pain than i've ever been in.

Trying to walk on an ACL that was stretched within a fraction of tearing.

Literally the second I tried to put any weight on it, I was on the ground screaming in pain. Doctor said it was probably more painful than a tear would've been, but that I was lucky it was something that would heal.

Probably when I got jumped and got a broken jaw, broken nose, fractured skull, displaced tooth and strangled neck.

Now whenever something hurts, I just compare it to that pain in my head and I can shrug off most things.
#16
The most intense pain I ever felt was short term. I had a hemorrhoid removed but first I needed local anesthetic and holy shit I have never felt anything like that since then. Needle into anal wall. Holy shit. I sweated like crazy throughout the whole thing after the anesthetic kicked in even though I couldn't feel anything.

I had wisdom teeth removed too and while the pain was intense in my head and for a longer period it does not compare to needle in anal wall.

they do make numbing agent for that shit

I once had to catheterize myself three times a day for like a week, and they couldn't get the numbing stuff to me until after that. plus the catheters were shitty and hard

let me tell you, the pain of getting it in ins't as bad as backing out after it hurts too bad and trying again like three times.

I have a weird reaction now. On one hand, being in medical facilities gives me legit anxiety because all that shit happened up to like age 15. Like, the thought of going to a urologist can set me to pacing and shit, just nervous as hell. On the other hand it's kind of just reality for me.

Probably the day I got a hairline fracture on my knee cap playing football.

Not the day I got it, but the next day after that. It was just an intense ache that wouldn't go away.

last december i tried to save a cat from running into the street and getting nailed by a car, and in the process i landed on my leg weird and my knee got really fucked up. leg kind of bent sideways to the right.

i was immediately sweating, nauseous, light headed, and vision was going dark from the pain

i took painkillers and drummed on an ep recording session like two days later and it almost definitely delayed the healing process as i have only recently regained my ability to jump

Oh, yeah, that happened to me. I had to have the blood drained and the nail fell off.

Which reminds me, one of my front teeth got knocked out, and the other got split in half.

Ten years ago I had Sciatica. It's a nerve condition that affects the lower back and legs.
I personally would be at a loss for words for describing the pain I suffered from this affliction.
Luckily there was a female cop that I met in the waiting room of a medical specialist's clinic, and she pretty much gave me the best description of the pain caused by Sciatica that I've ever heard.
She said Sciatica is comparable to being shot, tasered, and giving birth...combined.

Just a couple of bad teeth over the years, holy crap the pain was almost deadly it was so bad at times. Worse than my broken wrist by far. Thats about it.

Please lord don't let me get kidney stones though, my Dad got them a lot...

Came in here to say this.

At first it didn't hurt much, just felt like a bad case of blue balls. But after a couple hours of constant squirming it was unbearable. So much so that I ended up rolling on the ground in pain.

As someone with an incredibly high pain tolerance I can honestly say that kidney stones are easily the most painful things most people will ever experience in their lives.

DT's were the most miserable i remember. had them for 10 days at that. sweats, chills, puking and shitting at the same time, every muscle ached and cramped. and the tremor.

that was the most miserable.

as far as pain, maybe kidney stones or appendicitis.

From what I can remember, I had an ear infection and a case stomach pain that were awful. Both occurred when I was a kid (somewhere between ages 10 and 12 probably).
The stomach pain happened while we were on vacation. I basically lay curled up as a ball for two days trying not to move.
Similarly for the ear infection, but it went on for five days.
It probably didn't help that I usually didn't let anyone know something was wrong or that I was in pain until it had gotten to the point where I simply couldn't do anything anymore.

Oh, now that I think of it, had a problem with my eye as well. Think I was 15. I had gotten a big rubber band shot directly into it from 20 cm away. The initial pain wasn't that bad, but I couldn't really tolerate any light for an entire month. Sometimes I'd catch a glimpse of sunlight with that eye, and every time it would feel like someone stuck a knife all the way through my head.

Came round after surgery once with no pain relief, because the line from the morphine pump wasn't attached properly, and didn't have enough pressure to push stuff past the valve on the cannula. Just made my arm wet.
