So i have a real tone cable that i got from the Rocksmith game and im wondering if there are any programs i can use the cable to record my guitar into. i tried audacity but there seems to be a bit of delay.

I use that cable with Peavey ReValver and Reaper on my MacBook Pro. I use that setup for practice and it's fine. Don't know about hardcore recording.

Try the free trial on Reaper and see if you've still got the lag.

Also, are you plugging it into a USB port on the box, or on an external hub? That might be an additional source of latency.

The latency isn't in the cable it's in the driver. Which one are you using?

Actually what I had in mind are the people who have external hubs plugged into external hubs(one of which is guaranteed to be USB1.0) plugged into the PC, because people are the devil.
