Thanks for any info. I have a Prestige Ibanez 2550Z from 2008. It doesn't have fretting issues, and there are no big dings or dents in the frets. However, looking at the frets, it is clear some areas are a little more worn down than others. Also, there are some super tiny (smaller than a hair) cuts on a few areas.

I'm wondering if a polishing or leveling at this point would help increase the lifespan of the guitar, or if it doesn't matter if I just wait until buzzing or inconvenience occurs.

I bought the guitar used and a lot of the metal hardware has that bumpiness from sweat and corrosion. It's a guitar I wouldn't buy now, but I got it about 2 years ago when I didn't know at all what to look out for.
