Hey guys. I just uploaded the first tracks from my psychedelic blues rock project on sound cloud. It would be great to hear what you think. So if you like hooks, big riffs, guitar solos and poetic lyrics, check it out! I'd love some feedback and will C4C.

jkielq91,
Thank you for the review! I'm into fish more than most normal humans, so I reviewed "Catfish Women". The lyrics are amusing, they made me smile. The singing is slightly shaky pitch-wise (otherwise fine), yet they work well for this song because the lyrics have a sense of humor (in my opinion). The song has kind of a retro 60's vibe, not unlike the possible influences you mentioned. The guitar playing is well done. I like all of the melodies & everything else. I liked the song.

Hey man, first of all nice chill feel to all of the songs, reminds a bit of Joe Bonamassa which I´m really big fan of. Guitar solos fit with the songs, everything is blended well but recording and mixing seems a bit off, but you made them home, so its no big deal, maybe even gives a nice originality to it. Overall I liked it, keep up the good work! Would also listen to it live.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know the recordings need some work. Atleast a pro mix and master. But yeah, its home made and as you said, is pretty good for that.

I find the Bonamassa comment interesting. A listening to him a lot but have never compared my music to his. Yet you are the second person to say it.

Its very touching to hear you would see me play live. Thanks. It means a lot.

I listened to catfish women - A good solid blues song. Nice lyrics, well played and catchy guitar(sweet solo too), vocal style works but could definitely be improved. I thought the drums were also too sparse. Production also needs some work but you did say that I can imagine this one going down well live! Hey Jake,

I'm liking the sound of 'My Way Or The Right Way' it has a very 70's vibe to my ears. Reminds me a bit of Zappa. Some pretty cool note-choice in there and the solo was good. Your guitar tone is pretty awesome too.

Yeh good stuff man, keep doing your thing.

Thanks guys. Nice reviews.

Zappa! That is a new one. I welcome it though. My guitar tone is super simple cranked the preamp haha. Tried and tested method.

Catfish Women does indeed go down well live. I am also incredibly proud of that solo. My vocal is indeed a tad weak. I will work on it. I promise I will C4C in the morning. It is the middle of the night where I am.

Hey,

I listened to :Man in the Moon." First, your vocals can be turned up a bit and the guitar is louder than the other instruments. The drums are barely there.

Volume aside, I really enjoyed the guitar; it is very bluesy and has a nice tone to it. Nice feel good progression.

"Man In the Moon" is a really relaxing song.

Thanks for the criticism.
