I want to get a new amplifier as I really want to get a valve one. Things I play are mostly rock and blues; AC/DC,GnR, etc but i'm basically all around and i play everything. I'm looking for a good valve amp around £300 or £400. I will be getting pedals along with it to get more tones.
Many Thanks.

You might just be able to manage a used Marshall DSL40C on that budget, which would have you covered nicely. I hear the Fender Bassbreakers do the Marshall sound well, too, but I'm not sure there's anything at the right price point.

DSL and the Bassbreaker are solid choices.

Jet City also does a few amps that might fit the bill. A bit more gain compared to AC/DC but they sound good.

Well I agreed with you so that makes sense

The Bassbreaker is really awesome though.

Peavey Classic 30. Plenty of gain, plenty of volume for AC/DC and Gn'r, and then some. It's voiced correctly for them too. And the cleans are outstanding....

I boost mine with an MXR M77 OD and run an MXR 10-band EQ in the loop for more versatility. It runs my reverb and delay pedals in the loop very nicely. Great amp for the money!

You don't have to have the gain maxed I have the JCA22H, the crunch channel is perfect for AC/DC.

That said, I have a Marshall TSL602 I'm open to offers on. Based in Wiltshire so if you're local enough to collect & interested, get in touch.

I have a Jet City JCA50, and it sounds great. It would be a pretty good fit for music like this, and the crunch channel is great for, well, crunchy tones like acdc.

jet city's hard to beat if it's not too modern-sounding. they have a few lower gain options too but I haven't tried them.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
