Hi.

Just wondering if anybody knows the difference. The Floyd Rose seems to be the same, one of the higher end ones ( anybody know which ?). The only difference I have noticed is that the 1000 has Sperzel tuners and the 1001 has Grover tuners. The 1001 is the only one showing up at the ESP website. Could it just be that the 1000 is an older model? I'm kinda off put by buying the 1001 since the 1000 is more aesthetically pleasing.

Anybody knows?

Thanks in advance.

I believe the differences are primarily cosmetic. I have an EC-1001FR and the MH-1001 looks to have the same binding. It's white with black pin stripes instead of the abolone looking stuff.

You also get the brushed black chrome hardware and pickups.

I missed that first part about the Floyd but it's the 1000 Series OEM only Made in Korea - FRT05000 to be exact. I emailed ESP to confirm when I got the EC-1001.
