Hi I'm wanting to build a Bass VI in a different style to a fender, I was wondering if anyone who owned one could post the measurements I would need e.g. scale length (which I think is 30"??), fretboard size and distance of each fret from the nut.
Thanks a lot in advance

The distance of each fret from the nut is available based on scale in a number of locations. You don't need to have someone measure their guitar for this.
Google is your friend, and StewMac has a calculator: https://www.stewmac.com/FretCalculator.html

The Bass VI has a 1.650" neck width at the nut (more like a guitar than a bass), and StewMac has string spacing rulers (it's not the same from string to string) that will help you place the nut slots correctly depending on your nut width.http://www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/Types_of_Tools/Straightedges/String_Spacing_Rule.html

dspellman Thanks that's very helpful. I knew there would be something obvious but I was looking in the wrong place.
Cheers.
