I just finished a little song that I started a few days ago. In terms of the mix, I think it's the best I've done to this point, but I'll let someone else be the judge. You can expect more (full) songs in the near future but for now, let me know what you think, and drop a link of your music for me to check out!

Great sound all round. Add some pad layers and a guitar line or two over it and you've got a properly recorded track. What's your setup like?

Thanks! As far as setup goes: Ibanez RGIR20FE + Ibanez GSR205 --> Line 6 UX1 --> Reaper. I use POD Farm for my tones, and Steven Slate Drums 4 for drums.

You're getting THAT tone out of Pod Farm? What's your preset? That's one of the best I've heard from the thing.

Haha yes, it's from POD Farm. I think it's reputation is a lot lower than what it deserves considering it's price and the amount of customization you get. It just takes time and learning from more experienced people. I used this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGGexGVA78E as a template then went from there. Obviously there is post EQ and whatnot, but this will get you in the same ballpark.

I'll start off by saying I'm not a huge fan a super detuned guitars, but I have friends who do so I will do my nest not to be biased. The mix is amazing. and I like the tone you achieved although you have a very low end guitar. The lead tone is simply beautiful, especially over the mud of the rhythm guitars. Soundcloud started to play Tourniquet as I was typing and I thought that was a very good song too! The only thing I would change is make it longer! Add a clean part similar to Tourniquet, go back to the heavy chug you already have, add some vocals, and make a masterpiece out of it! Awesome stuff!

Really great lead tone, fantastic song writing. Drums aren't my favorite though.

Thanks for your feedback on my song. sorry for the delay in responding.

The quality of your guitar recording tone is great and your playing is insanely rhythm Really great rhythm guitar and I love how the layers build up, and then down again. It gives a great dynamic map.

I do however wish it was turned into a full song. This would make a great intro. Extend it out, out some brutal vocals.

Nice! You have a very good rythm and lead tone and the mix sounds awesome in my opinion, especially the guitar and drums.
As for the music my favourite part is the first 30 seconds, then the rhythm gets kind of repetitive and I personally would've used the part with the leads and melodies for something with more feel, but that's just my opinion! For a demo this is very good, so keep going man !
