Damn, that's a silky sound. A bit mellow for my taste, but you sound good bro.

You lost me at "Lubricate."

He's still got some. That's more than I can say.

Wow!! That was excellent. Love the tone, and soft touches. Great chord choices and voiceleading. Awesome stuff, wish I could play like that.

My faves: Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Sonny Rollins, Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Count Basie

...modes and scales are still useless.

You play well, I don't like jazz guitar usually, but this was nice

Lovely and dark. Feels Italian for some reason, or maybe it evokes a certain image of Italy.

Most of the jazz I'm into is club jazz like Soil & PIMP Sessions.

I'm fairly into it

there's a jazz&blues subforum and a post your recordings forum where this should probably go, but I'll let you live this time

That was great, sounds a bit like Lounge or Acoustic Jazz. Your tone and phrasing was very well done. Would like to see you expand and play that style wit more speed and action.

When I think of Jazz I think of the Miles Davis Quintet, or songs Frank Sinatra sings. I enjoyed your chords though. Do you have specific chords you play for specific lead notes or do you have all inversions mastered and can play multiple chords to sing the same harmony?

that was real cool

jrcsgtpeppers Yes I can pretty much handle melody and variations on chords as I go. I would not say I've mastered it though. That's a life time of learning Always seems more to learn
