I picked up this neat overdrive pedal not too long ago. The pedal itself sounds great, it was custom made so there's not a ton of info I can find on the manufacturer or anything, but the only way I can get a signal to run through the pedal is when I leave the output cable just barely touching the inside of the output jack. Reason why I had to do that is because when I plug the cable in all the way, like I would with any other pedal, no signal runs through.

What can I do?

I would try a different cable first. Then open up the back plate or the pedal if you can. You maybe have to loosen the nuts off of the input/output jacks and see if anything is loose, or the jack itself is worn or bent.

Sounds like the output jack is borked. Just replace it.

Replace the jack I'd say. You'll need a soldering iron and a replacement jack, both of which can be bought somewhere like Maplin or Radioshack or whatever. It's not as difficult as you'd think.

Thanks for the input guys, yeah I'm going to probably just replace the jack. Can any of ya help point me towards a good replacement jack?
