Hi there

long time to show... I was busy celebrating my new Gibson R8

Now, as expected, GAS started to raise up again... I am thinking of getting some metal machine.. A shredder with 24 frets, EMG pickups, and tremolo bridge..

I am so much interested in ESP Horizon.. definitely, I can't afford ESP Original so I am exploring option between LTD 1000 series and the E-II series.. ESP says that E-II is replacing their ESP Standard discontinued series. However, I came up with some negative feedbacks on the E-II claiming that they usually have finish issues and not built in same quality of ESP standard by any means. What do you think about that?

The E-II are more expensive than LTD 1000 series of course... Does it worth?

I am open for other suggestions considering my three conditions:
1. Tremolo bridge
2. EMG pickups
3. 24 frets

Thanks guys..

Agile and higher spec Jacksons is pretty close to what you might be getting. Also Carvin might serve your needs

Here's a NGD I did a while back with an E-II Eclipse and a LTD EC-1001 that compares the 2.

I have many more finish blemishes with the LTD.

That's a nice comparison but you seem to be too picky.. and so do I

Is the E-II custom anything different than other E-II sold at retailers ?

What is your outcome? E-II deserves the extra cash??

The custom part of the E-II is the graphic.

The guitars have a different feeling though. The E-II is more of a classic feel - the upper fret access isn't as good as the LTD due to how the cut outs are and the neck joint thickness. The LTD is heavy as shit as compared, better upper fret access, EMGs, Floyd - more of a shredder feel.

There is a 2006 MIK MH 400 offered locally... The guitar looks fantastic, I should try it tomorrow..

I just wonder what is the bridge in this one?? seller says it is a MIJ "Takeuchi".. never heard about it

The other issue is that the seller knows that such guitars are rare to find in Egypt and asking for $700 !

What do you think folks?

Here is a pic of the guitar offered attached...
