Just got this beauty (mint!) off eBay for a great price...

It came in with some uneven frets and a bit of back-bow,in the neck, probably from being kept stringed/up to pitch in storage for a hell of a long time (since 2002 lol?). Anyway, after a fair bit of fret leveling & truss rod adjustment. I was able to completely get rid of the buzz & dead spots/fretting out. Got the action where I want it to be and now it plays like butter!

It came with a Duncan SH-14 (Custom 5) in the bridge & Duncan Coolrails/Hotrails (single sized humbuckers) in the middle/neck respectively. This thing just sings. The pups are a perfect match and though the SH-14 is supposed to be pretty scooped in the mids it sounds great in this guitar...as do the other two pups. Nice and sweet...but also pretty beefy!

The headstock is the pre-Fender aquisition "Jellybean" type which some have a gripe about, but I actually prefer. Neck is nice and thin ..almost Ibanez Wizard thin, with an oil finish...(aka ..greased lightning

Overall agreat sounding, playing & looking guitar..can't complain...especially for the price I got it for

Here it is in action on youtube over a looped riff (gtr & drms..no bass) plugged straight into my 50 Watt solid state head (AMT Stonehead)...tiny bit of delay/reverb in the FX loop..that's it. No pre/post production..recorded with my digital handheld recorder's line input. I decided to do a little shredding tribute to a favourite band of mine ..Crimson Glory! Not trying to cop their licks or tone...just that classic "In Dark Places / Where Dragon's Rule" sort of vibe

Sweet beautiful axe! I have an 1989 MIJ Charvel Fusion Custom with the same pup configuration, full size HB in the bridge and to SC sized rail HBs in the middle and neck and I love it!

HNGD Rock on!

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Nice score man! Really dig Charvels (I like the Jellybean headstock too) and yours is quite awesome looking.

How do you like the T2? Years ago, I was really into the V2 and I wanted one bad

Sweet a Charvel and a T2! I used to rock a T2, neat amps.
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.
