Track title: Uproot

Hey guys!

Must have been awhile since I was last here; the forum layout is way different

Anyway, I have a new iteration for my project Resila called "Uproot"

I'm a little all-over-the-place genre wise (as usual). This is another attempt at meshing melody with crunchiness.

I'd appreciate any feedback you may have.

Cheers dudes
Hmmm, nice idea for depresive melody. Sometimes i heard out of tempo riffs but as a whole is ok.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm listening now. Heavy. Some of the chord build up, drums and dynamics are epic. Great use of the double kick.

I found the lead guitar a little to simple. I feel melodicly it could have offered a lot more, and maybe mix up the rhythm and add some fast stuff.

Over all the track has potential. I'd love to hear you go all Jeff Loomis over it.
At :15, it sounds like this could be included as a track in the F-Zero series. Liking it so far! :45 suprised me with such a gorgeous lead tone. 1:15 threw me off so hard, maybe vocals would make that change a bit smoother? I like the melody, but the contrast of before and after the transition doesn't sit the best imo. How are you recording the rhythm guitars? There's this squeaky sound in the background like as if your palm were scraping the low-end of the strings during those palm-mutes. Some interesting ideas, dude!

Hey man! I like the ideas in this track but I think you should make your sound more consistent. Work on the timing, but also, it feels like the details with the FX guitars and the leads overpower the rhythm guitars, come in too loud and kind of break the feel of the song. Also try to make the changes in the song smoother. Musically there's some good ideas for depressive, mysterious yet energetic type of music, but I think I would enjoy it a lot more if it sounded tighter, and with better production/edition. Good job, keep going!

It's an interesting piece. The drums at the start are pretty mad. Don't know how you did that. I was getting into the lead break at 1:15 cos that sounds nice, but then it's all over so soon! And not in the most resolved way. Certainly keeps you on your toes.
