Hi, newbie on here so please bear with me. Getting back into guitar after a very long lay-off. Recently picked up a slightly knackered MIJ Squier strat for a tenner when taking my garden waste to the local tip, neck seems good, electrics and bridge are shot. Serial number P001807, I think it's a 93-94 model. Is it worth spending a few quid to restore this thing? It is a bit lovely and I can't really abandon it now that I've taken it home! Any advice/info would be gratefully received. Cheers

as long as the body and neck are good why not. you have very little into it so might as well fix it up.
I certainly would if the neck and body were good. Where else are you going to get a decent body and neck for that kind of money?
Ok, thanks guys, I just wasn't sure how good Japanese Squiers were to start off with.
Seems like it will be a fun project.Enjoy it.You could end up with a great axe.
