This has been a long time coming. Last summer I decided I wanted to change some gear around to get a nice blues set up as my rock/metal rig wasn't cutting it for that genre.

After ALOT of going back and forth between guitars and amps as well as selling tonnes of my equipment (including my light ash strat) I found my perfect strat and a damn good amp.

I introduce to you 'Clemente' my LSL CVS Strat (they name all their guitars in the factory).

It plays like a dream, and blew all the fenders/suhrs/anything else that I tried out of the water. It is slightly relic'd but still looks natural and has a pull/push pot that makes the pickups noiseless or not.

Now onto the amp - I so nearly went for either a Fender Deluxe reverb or a Princeton, and arguably prefer the clean sound on these amps to what I choose, but the added channel and the versatility of the Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special sealed the deal for me. I'm still working on a pedalboard for this set up, but this is a special amp. Needs quite abit of tweaking and I still have a few to make but I could not be happier.

And now a nice family shot (excluding my Faith Venus Hi Gloss and pedalboard https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1703695)

That Suhr and LSL are lovely!

Using the Lonestar as a pedal platform you have a million options what OD and effects are concerned. Two guys I'd recommend getting rig ideas from are Andy Timmons and Eric Johnson - tone for days.

Enjoy!

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Beautiful guitar. I've never heard of LSL, but after seeing this I might have to check em out

Yeah if you can find one to try out, do it!

Thanks guys.

And Charlie - currently have a Keeley red dirt mini as a clean boost then a ts9 with drive at about 1 o'clock and then have the drive channel. So a lot of choice indeed!
