Recently finished up the first song I've recorded since November of 2013, and I'm quite fond of it. Ended up having to record it all on a Fender Starcaster I borrowed from a neighbor, since I sadly don't have my guitars at the moment. Any crit you have, tips, etc are welcomed! The song is free to download, and I hope you enjoy the listen as much as I did writing it.

Not my favorite genre, but it's really well done. Maybe the bass could be a tiny bit louder, but I'mm a bassist so I might be biased.
I really love the harmonies just after 2 minutes in, gives the song a bit of a scary vibe.
What software did you use to record this?

If you'd like to check out my recording, I'd love some feedback. It's very different from this though, so it might not be your style.
Hey man,

I remember listening to your Halo arrangements awhile back. "Indiscriminate" incorporates aggressive drums and techy, thrashy leads. Regarding the mix, the snare sounded A LITTLE thin to me. I really liked the bass drum tone. Aside from that, I felt that the mix was very well balanced; I was able to distinguish drums, cymbals, leads, and rhythm without issue. The build-up at 4:07 was superbly heavy. I liked the work on the toms here. The sweeping at 5:30 sounds facile and smooth. This track kept my attention for throughout its entirety (disclaimer: when I saw the track length it seemed a bit daunting :P).

Thanks for sharing your work!

Pretty transparent. I would hazard to guess the Strat/single coils being a large factor in the guitar's part of that, yes?
Hey man,

The drums really stick out, they really hit me in the gut haha they sound great. The lead guitar tone in the start in my opinion is just a tad icy, but otherwise tones are pretty good. The mix does sound like it needs a little more, Id recommend a track in the background that is barely audible just to fill space and make it sound more full. The song is cool, Im a big fan of instrumental music and youve done this one well. The harmony guitar maybe needs to be a bit louder, but otherwise the volume levels are pretty good.
