So I decided to change my pickups from standard esp passive pickups to emg's and i followed the steps of the official emg youtube channel and the instruction manual.

After wiring it all up for 6 times straight i still have the same problem, the selector switch doesn't work (both pickups are recieving even if not selected)

Does somebody have a solution?

Diagram #3 shows your exact setup. My first guess is you have solder where you shouldn't creating a short on the selector switch.

Yeah but the soldering seems to connect to it and the switch did still work this morning before i installed the pickups

How about a picture of how you have things hooked up?

If you are following the directions in the manual and it's not working everyone is just guessing at what's wrong. Provide some more info man. . .

metalmingee oh, so basically i switched up the negative wire (from 9v) and the white wire of the tone output cable. It is a really fucking dumb mistake. I am not near my guitar rn so i have no photo but everything is in place and the battery is safe and nothing is crammed in there. Thanks again!
