So I have a Frankenstein guitar that I built out of an RG body, Washburn neck and assorted electronics that aren't pertinent to this issue. Scale length is 24.75" with an Ibanez Edge Pro II trem. I've got it tuned to standard and have tried every gauge from 10-52 to 8-38 and no matter what I still need to have four springs in the back with the trem claw cranked into the body to get the trem to sit relatively flat. Makes dive bombs a bit more fun as you can lay into them but pulling up and vibrato is a pain in the ass what with the springs so taut.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it dull knife edges or worn out studs or something?
