Yes, I have a Frontman 65R with a hiss. Here's how it works. On the Clean Channel, the higher the treble knob is set, the louder the hiss. And of course, the volume knob does the same thing. The hiss is not from the reverb (which doesn't work anyway) because I have it turned all the way down. I can deal with it fine as long as both my tone controls are set low.

I read in an old thread on the subject that a small cap .2uf placed across the speaker would kill the hiss. I'd really like some opinions on this. I can understand the capacitance number just fine, but what about the wattage or amperage rating. Also, does the cap just go between the speaker wires? I'm kind of off in left field on this one, so I would value your opinions on this.
