Hey all, a friend of mine has a JVM205H, and can't stand the stock footswitch, and wants a one button footswitch to toggle between clean and OD, like on the JCM2000 DSLs. I don't have access to his amp or anything, so I've offered to attempt to create a schematic for him, but I can't bloody figure out how that damn footswitch works. 4 button switch with a single mono connector? My only guess is that it's similar to how an IR remote works, different pulses for each switch... I'm probably way off, but is it possible to wire a single button switch that would somehow miraculously toggle between clean and OD, or is the JVM just too "smart" for it's own good?
I found a schematic for the JVM410 switch and it is entirely electronic. To build one yourself you would need access to either to the amp or to a switch and an oscilloscope so you can reverse engineer the switching signal.
sashki Well, thanks for the help man, I appreciate it
