Hi - I want to swap a 2005 MIM Strat neck with a 2011 Blacktop strat neck - basically trade necks between the 2 guitars. The MIM neck has 21 frets. The Blacktop neck has 22. Has anyone out there done this? If yes, any issues? I haven't got the 2 guitars together yet to see if this will work (I won't have the MIM for another 2 weeks). If there are issues, I would like to be aware of them before starting this project.
Thanks

Shouldn't be any issues, neck pocket will be the same and the 22 just has that little overhang over the pickguard. Most production Fender necks are easily interchangeable within their model family (strat to strat, tele to tele, etc).

Thanks for the info. Will the holes line up? I would prefer not to do any new drilling.

they should as that is pretty standard for Fender.
