those tech deck skateboards weren't even popular until like 2005-2008 not awfully long ago
in 2001-2002 the only ones i remember around were those metal/magnetic ones, it was like hotwheels

i remember being one of the first kids in my class to bring one those and pop kickflips on my binder/paper holder haha
i bought like 4 of those while in school, i still have 1 of them, the others: broken or stolen

I would get bored as a kid and take them apart to build ones of my own. I have a bunch sitting in a box in a closet, I may dig some out for photos. Those things were fun.

I'm older than most of you and don't understand these.

Either way, I don't need to compare how much better/worse my childhood was to children who wouldn't understand it in today's society because I'm not a loser.

Eh, they were expensive, but I had a lot of fun with them as a kid. Taking Legos apart and building new things out of them was basically all my friends and I did until we were about ten or twelve. The best ones were the big buckets you could buy that were just a bunch of parts. Usually cheaper than buying sets, and gave you more things to build. They wised up though, shit's stupid expensive now.
