I just purchased a La Patrie QI classical guitar on ebay . . . nice instrument, but although the it seems to be wired for electronics there is no side adjustment module cut into the place where it belongs. Anybody know whats up with that. Is the module considered an extra or something? Appreciate any advice you may have . . .

The example I found has a side mounted preamp:

Does it have an endpin jack? If it has, I can think of a jew possibilites:

It has a passive piezo system

A simple passive system has been removed

It has a basic preamp, probably mounted on the endpin

It has the more modern soundhole preamp controls.

Have a look inside it for wires and little boxes using a mirror and a torch.
