I've played both, and a lot of other examples of both makes. I admire the way that Cole Clark have embraced CNC technology and taken a very modern approach to high-precision guitar biulding. OTOH, there are using a Spanish slipper-style neck joint that would be impossible to reset cost-effectively. The pickup/preamp system is very good, but the pickup itself failed in my mates. The Taylor has a fully-bolt-on neck that can be very easily and cheaply reset, and overall I'm a fan of Taylor. I'm not sure I would pay the extra for the DLX model, it is virtually all cosmetic. Tone is a matter of personal taste, CCs have a thick chunky sound, taylors are bright and jangly.

I wouldn't think that CCs are good value outside of Oz.
