Hey guys while practicing with my friends we took a break to get water and some of it spilled onto the neck on my bass right where it meets the body. It was enough for me to see the wood soaking up the water. This has never happened to me before and I don't know what to do. So far I dried it off the best I could and placed it facedown.

Honestly it'll be fine. If its a bolt-on then unbolt it and take a hairdryer to it for a couple of minutes and leave it to air dry for a few days; if its a neck-through then there won't be any harm.

A lot of bass bodies these days are still green on the inside anyway.

Let it air dry under a fan for 2 days.

If there is any, and I mean ANY, change in action relief, then disassemble and let dry for a week.
