I had written the music for this song well over a year ago but it wasn't until the past weekend that I got around to writing lyrics. Still working on the melodies so I can't share the audio, but it's a mid-tempo ballad similar to this (but without rapping).
My lyrics are usually just filler with the intention of an actual songwriter purchasing the music and re-doing them, but I'm trying to at least put some diversity and thought into my writing (still some cheesy filler present, though). I put explanations for some of the lines in the spoiler at the bottom. I think the song might be a bit incoherent/confusing so any tips to streamline it would help.

Separation of Star from Sky
How long has it been since I've been here?
Again, the waves wash the footprints off of my soul
Casually, I sit and remember the night I gave you my all

Your uncomfortable hands, your expression
I regretted it at the time
Your words were always sincere
Even if sunken down to the floor of the sea, a murmured sound

Moonlit fantasy, white light engulfs me
We're connected by destiny
"Even if we're separated we can search for our little constellation"
The thought that should be leading my actions
Yet I still wander in deep space
Give me one reason, only one reason
We have the destiny of shooting stars

Didn't need anything, my happiness was when I was with you
The night the two of us cried, in the warmth of our held hands
When I finally caught up to you I saw a glimpse
Descending scarlet from the sky

Time carries us in it's hands never knowing just quite where we'll land
The meteor shower of Perseus scatters us like Summer rain
Time carries us in it's hands never knowing just quite where we'll land
But I hope it's next to you

Not an illusion, nor a fantasy
We're connected by destiny
When a star disappears from this world
In it's last moment it shines brilliantly
Once it's extinguished and the sky grows dark
I know that you'll still remember me
Our heart's reconnect, if only for a moment
Entangled in it's radiant threads

There, do you see?
Persei rising from the black ocean,
Algol resting her head in peace
An invitation, calling us back home
Where we discover that the sands of Musca tells us
Our time is already over

Not an illusion, nor a fantasy
We're connected by destiny
"Even if we're separated we can search for our little constellation"
Yet I still wander the big blue universe
We have the destiny of shooting stars
Give me a reason we share the same moment
Yet we dream differently

My English has been shaky af the past few days so bear with me.

["the waves wash the footprints off of my soul"]
["Even if sunken down to the floor of the ocean, amurmured sound"]
["Moonlit fantasy, the white light engulfs me"]
Allegory for drinking. The waves just represent the liquid while the moon represents the alcohol itself. The moon brings in the tide, dragging what's on the shore down into the ocean. The white light would be inebriation.

["We're connected by destiny']
Stars connected in a constellation; astrology uses constellations to represent fate/destiny.

["Even if we're seperated we can search for our little constellation"]
Constellation is allegory for the web-like structure of synapses. So: searching their memories for their time together.

[The thought that should be leading my actions, and yet I still wander in deep space]
They know that they should be thinking with a clear mind, yet continue to indulge in alcohol.

[We have the destiny of shooting stars]
Comets most often disintegrate before reaching their..."targets". Basically referencing that their relationship dissolved before ever reaching it's peak.

{[When a star disappears in it's last moment it shines brilliantly]
[When it's extinguished I know that you'll still remember me]
[Our heart's reconnect if only for a moment in it's radiant threads]}
This references the initial regret that comes from both parties in a break up. The emotion "shines" the strongest immediately after, but then as it fades you
start to have more general/less emotional thoughts regarding the other person. The heart's "reconnect" through the final burst of emotion before reaching that
stage.

[Algol resting her head in peace]
Algol is a blood-red star that represents the decapitated head of the Gorgon slain by Perseus. In astrology it's considered to be unlucky and malicious.
This uncharacteristic display could be seen as devious considering the next line:
[the sands of Musca tell us it's already over]
i see your girl
G A Y
she leavin wit me

F O R
I'm playing wit her booty
in the back seat
