Hello!

The thing is:
My girlfriend's uncle gave her a guitar as a gift. We don't know much about it, aside from the fact that he bought it in the US. It's a Fender Telecaster made in Korea and that's where our knowledge ends. I'm posting some pictures, maybe you'll be able to tell us what model it exactly is.

serial number is E1007208.

If you need more information or pictures let me know and I'll provide them

Maybe a very limited run? Even possibly a modified Telecaster? Maybe you should pull out your tool kit and open her up to check for more information.

Well the guitar is definitly a Squire made in 1987 or 1988 in the Young Chang Factory in Korea. The pickup configuration is intriguing, I'm not sure if there where models with 3 pickups. If you take of the scratchplate you could probaly determine if they are original or not.

Yeah, I checked the serial number before but I thought it wasn't original because of the pickup configuration, I've never seen a Telecaster with three pickups honestly... so you're saying it could've been modified?
#5
Yea, it could have been modified. Unscrew the pickguard and post some pictures of the rooting and the pickups, then maybe we can tell.

FYI: "Nashville" teles are three pickup. I have one (USA+ii), and some bodies have an open route where you have room to install a middle pickup if you want.

didnt know about the Nashville, just had to google it

Yeah, they are pretty awesome. I am planning on converting my USA std. tele to a Nashville down the line. it is routed (mine, not all) to have the space for one, all I need to do is cut the pickguard.

Totally could be Nashville, but I'd bet a fiver that the neck and middle pickups aren't stock. I'd be interested to know what those are. They look almost like some Pete Townsend used to use. How do they sound?
Try adding more delay.
