Hi!

It seems that my guitar is suffering from fretbuzz. In principal the GBE strings are mostly affected G being the worst and it usually comes pressing around 7th fret and gets increasingly worse when following the string towards the last fret. Inspecting the ringing string it seems that it klicks against the next fret. If played gently the klicks are almost noiseless. So my question is, is the neck too concave? Should I have heavier strings? Right now I have .009-.042.

What is your action setup?

If it buzzes on every fret for long distances of the fretboard, the problem could be that your action is simply too low.

Hi!

I have tried to taking the action higher and it does help a little but by the time the sound becomes mediocre the string are really high. How straight is the neck supposed to be?

It varies from player to player, but 0.5mm at the 7th fret is suitable for most people.
