Country music singer Jay Seeney is headed back to Nashville to record a new EP.

The Appin resident said the upcoming trip to America would be a fantastic opportunity.

“All of the best musicians converge in Nashville,” he said.

“There is no other place like it in the world.”

Mr Seeney said the new EP would focus on “real stories”.

“We want to keep the music diverse and cover all bases with our sound,” he said.

“We have gone much deeper with the songwriting to focus on real human emotions.”

Next week, Mr Seeney will release a song to American radio stations.

The song Every Time It Rains is from his first EP, The New Black.

“In consultation with my management team and record label we decided it would be the best song to introduce to the American market,” Mr Seeney said.

The band has travelled all over Australia playing at country music festivals including, Broadbeach Country Music Festival, Urban Country Music Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival and many more.

Mr Seeney will work with highly-experienced engineer and producer Jamie Tate who has recorded a string of number one hits at his studio in Nashville.

Mr Tate is also a Grammy and Emmy award winner having worked with Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Justin Moore, Billy Currington, Thomas Rhett and many others.

You know I can't even talk bad about him for being successful at something he likes to do

But is it me or are the vocals in that song terribly mixed?

Song sounds fine to me, I think you need to recalibrate the sound settings on your tele-computer

Unfortunately I live approximately 1400 miles away from Nashville which would make getting his autograph very hard.

What you are describing is just his natural vocal candescence. His voice commands the music.

I am Australian and I know several people that have gone to Nashville and recorded with people like that
I'm impressed that he can do it (especially with that drivel) but I think he's about as special as your average dog turd

Can't stand his songs, they are generic drivel, the lyrics are just... so so bad. But well done I say getting that kind of opportunity.

remember the one music video with the really hot girl but it turns out that it was stock footage of a really hot girl that wasn't specifically filmed for the video so Jay never met her and she probably doesn't even know that he or the video even exist
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

I didn't realize he went solo lol

Remember when he made his own Wikipedia page

Good on him. He wasn't a bad bloke and deserves his success. He's worked hard for it I'm sure.

What do you mean we "used to" mock?

The other guitarist in his band was a total babestation tho

Also this:

Come back if you want to
And remember who you are

Yes

Doubt it, he's from a tiny shithole town in Northern Aus, so the other members just had to tag along so they wouldn't become the Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
