Here it is.

Finally. I got it for a fucking steal imo(around 550USD). Floyd Rose 1000, Rockfield Turbo set, grover tuners.
It's fantastic. Beautiful, and sounds great.

Very easy to play and the floyd holds tune really well.
Overall it's great

Sweet find. Not a BC Rich fan, but tooling around with just the entry-level Mockingbird and given the negative vibe I'd gotten online, I was really surprised. Great for sitting with the weird body.

It's really a great guitar. It's a bit better quality than the lower B.C Riches though. I recommend trying one of these out.

Love a good Mockingbird. It's a shame BC Rich let their lower end go, because theyve made some solid guitars over the years.
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.

nice. that series was one of BC Rich's better efforts but I believe now is discontinued. I really want to try the new neck thru Mockingbird from the new line (although I want hardtail). I have played several of the one you have and found them to be decent guitars every time I tried one. enjoy

The place where the whammy bar is put into the bridge chipped.

How is it 'chipped'?

Did you break off a section of the threaded portion that the collet threads into?

excuse me? I don't understand :p
Nah really the place where you screw the whammy bar into got chipped. That means I can't screw the whammy bar in at all since there's no place for the whammy bar to hang on to.

Edit: I checked what collet means and if I'm not mistaken then you're right.

Bloody hell, we could've bought a fixed bridge guitar. What an idiot I was

You need to make sure that the bar is in it's socket properly before you use it. It states this in any manual you'll find online for any type of Floyd Rose bridge.

O I already have found it. Thanks though. My dad will buy it tomorrow. Besides that, I just couldn't be bothered to change the strings on it for about 2 months because I saw how difficult it looked on YouTube. Buying this was a mistake, I don't have the patience for such tinkering tbh.

Buy a Treml-no and turn it into a hard tail. You can get them from Allparts and it takes 10 minutes to install. You can use this to keep the Floyd fully usable, dive only or lock it out.

I have one on my mistake and love it.
#28
+1 Grawgos tremol-no's can definitely be a good thing.

Fred, have you looked at a tremol-no? they are pretty cheap @ $50 in the US. they can completely lock your tremolo, so it won't move at all, or you can set it to dive only. they make setup and restringing much faster and less frustrating. do some googling.

i am well. mainly trying to not buy stuff for a few weeks.

It's pretty common knowledge that an FR setup isn't the easiest to set up etc... The benefits of a locking system outweighs those issues for a lot of people though.

you mean when you're restringing, to block it?

some people use a 9V battery (wrapped in cloth or hankies to stop it marring the finish- actually anything you use should probably be wrapped in something soft)

old credit or card can work well as it's more rigid than playing cards

some people use the backplate from the guitar

i think i used an old credit card last time wrapped in some kitchen roll

Backplate? How?
Yeah, for restringing. I used to get about 40 playing cards and stick them in there, but there's no way the guitar sits in my lap comfortably and it's really hard to tune that way.
