Hi Guys! new to the forum and could do with some assistance?

I have the Caparison C2 series running through a BOSS ME-50 and a Organge amp. My problem is that for no love or money I can not get pinched harmonics out on this thing, I was thinking maybe my technique is sloppy but then tried on my friends Ibanez and nailed every one of them? We both use 10 guage strings, were both tuned into drop C.

Is it my amp that is killing the performance? Is it my pick ups suck? I am really not sure. I had my friend work on the tone/bass/trebble/distortion etc but still no joy.

I asked my friend to try it and he could barley get any out of it and he is a far superior musician than I ever will be. Not quite sure what the problem is.

I am on my second pair of strings now links below for all the information of the set up.

thanks guys!

did you try the ibanez on your amp too?

don't think the pickups should be the problem (unless they're faulty, of course), the tone zone has really killer pinch harmonics IMO.

is the action really low on the caparison?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Hey thanks for the reply!

Yeah tried his Ibanez on my amp and it still seemed to perform. Maybe the pick ups are faulty? im not sure, I had better luck with my old Ibanez than this one. The action is quite low, perfect for shredding, have tried various different Picks as well with no luck. Maybe just a bad Caparison?

good call jerry

yeah if you can make them unplugged, then it sounds like there's something wrong with the electronics in the guitar somehow. is the output etc. roughly what you would expect? and the tone? you don't have the tone knob down or anything?
