I have these headphones that I am using. They are Westjet brand and I think they sound a little thin. Is Westjet a good headphone brand? Am I missing anything using them?

The only info I see on Westjet is that they are an Airline company. So the answer is likely no, they are probably not good headphones. You do not have to spend 100's on headphones but you cannot cheap out entirely if you want to use them for professional uses. Cheap headphones will either have little to no bass response or way too much, and generally a lack of treble as well.

What uses are you using headphone for? Do you have a budget for a new pair?

No. Yes. Respectively.
Will Lane's advice is on the money.
Studio quality headphones (as in actually used in studios) can be had for around $100 brand new.
