What is the friendzone to you?

Guys and girls seem to have a different impression of the friendzone. Guys generally seem to see it as a non-mutual attraction thing where one person wants something more but the other person sees it as a platonic thing. Girls appear to see it as guys being nice and expecting sex out of it.

Which one is it for you? Have you ever friendzoned or been friendzoned? Like and comment below!

Where people with no sense of perspective delegate themselves in order to attack the preferences of others.

It seems to be very different to the idea of just "being someone's friend", if common usage is anything to go by.

I hve no personal experiences to talk about, but from what the internet has told me, the friendzone is a myth made up by neckbeards who got rejected by girls who were way out of their league.
I have nothing important to say

Its more like lads who fancy a girl but they don't have the confidence to actually make a move so they end up just being nice and friendly. Then they call it the friend zone.

A place where guys think they are when instead of flirting with a girl they act like they just want to be friends and then whine about being treated as a friend.

From a girl's perspective it's really annoying because if there isn't mutual flirting going on, to find out a guy is bitching about you because you think they are your friend is quite hurtful.

I have lots of chick friends, some of them I've known for many years, some even from elementary school days, and we're simply very close friends who share a lot of personal information and understand each-other. Others I've met recently who already have long-term relationships with their boyfriends / husbands so we all kinda just hang out together in a group when we go out to concerts and stuff. I think you can have a large scale and variety of friendships without being negatively effected by the "friendzone", just as a long as you're going into it without the goal of getting laid, etc.

Too many guys get all upset when a chick they're trying to date/get in bed with starts calling them "pal" and "bestie" and shit like that in text message convos, but it's their fault for not being straight up to begin with. If you try to be all friendly without giving the hint, you'll end up a friend...

It's a place where douchebags who can't get a relationship call themselves into as a way of persecuting the girl they like for them not wanting to date them when all the girl wanted was to be their friend.

I've been hanging out with this awesome girl for the last couple of months and a couple of weeks ago we were hanging out in my room and she started making out with me then the next day told me she just wanted to be friends.

I have been in both situations and neither of them are fun although friend zoning others has been worse for me. If someone doesn't like me as much I like them I can get over it. But when the situation is reversed I have experienced actual harassment, and I would much rather have my feelings hurt than feel afraid.

Yup tell em to get their flirt on or just accept the friendship and stop bitching.

The friendzone is garbage created by white knights and losers who fail to understand a person's default setting isn't "potential sexual partner".

It's often created by one of two scenarios:
1) Person A doesn't have the guts to tell Person B that they don't like them in that manner; or
2) Person A can't take a fucking hint from Person B that they don't like them

The friendzone exists, but it's not the blight on relationships that many neckbeards would have you believe.

i mean tbh this thing happened to me recently: notice qt, talk to and be friendly with, feel that emotional thing that sometimes rises out from the hate sludge, continue socialising as normal, find out they have a gf, and fuckin deal with it. we still hang out just as before, because I'm not a little bitch

I've heard girls use the term before. In the context they were using it, I took it to mean that it was an easier and less harsh sounding way of saying they rejected someone or made it clear that they don't see someone in a romantic sense.

I have been on both ends of the situation and neither are particularly fun. I think that it's a little harder if you have hooked up with the person in question in the past, then try to be friends afterwards.
WHOMP

Think of that next time you are not allowed to laugh.
