What is/are your album(s) of the yeat?

From the top of my head I'd say:

Bowie - Blackstar

Beyonce - Lemonade

Mitski - Puberty 2

Xenia Rubinos - Black Terry Cat

Brian Eno - The Ship

Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool

there's defs a bunch of stuff i've forgotten (or haven't yet checked out), but imo this year's been pretty fantastic

Hamilton Mixtape - buncha artists doing covers of the musical
A Seat At The Table - Solange
Lemonade - Beyonce
Awaken, My Love! - Childish Gambino
We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service - A Tribe Called Quest

Edit: Almost forgot The Life Of Pablo! I haven't listened to This Is Acting or Blond or Coloring Book or Anti or a buncha stuff I forget. Haven't had that much interest in A Moon Shaped Pool, which is a shame cuz we got a whole roster of music videos film twitter went crazy for.

I really like the Mitski album but I doubt it will end up being my favourite, it's the best I've heard so far though. Just going through The Quietus' top 100 list and there's some good stuff on there. Listening to Jackie Lynn's s/t now and it's really good. (EDIT: 3 songs in and I'm bored of it now..) The Ship is worth listening to for the excellent VU cover but the rest is a bit uninspiring.

Obscura - Akroasis
Black Tusk - Pillars of Ash

The only new albums I've actually listened to this year, therefore they are the best.
I have nothing important to say

you mean you don't find brian eno's long deep vocal notes exciting!?

lol but yea, a part of me wishes it was just the creepy ambience (which is excellent) without the vocals, but I still really dig it. VU cover is great too yea

1. The Nighty Nite - Until The Horror Goes

2. Mitski - Puberty 2
Just to post a different one

3. Andy Hull & Robert McDowell - Swiss Army Man

4. Garden Gate - Dark Harvest

5. The Veils - Total Depravity

6. Linda Martini – Sirumba

7. Prose - Home Of The Brave
Far from being a favorite on the album, but there's so few songs of them online. Should be Mr. 1 & Mr. 2; one of the best songs of the year.

8. La Femme – Mystére

9. Bayonne – Appeals

10. Shabaka And The Ancestors – Wisdom Of Elders

Honorable mentions:
The Claypool Lennon Delirium – Monolith Of Phobos
Media Jeweler - $99 R/T Hawaii
The Frights – You Are Going To Hate This
Misha – All We Will Become

I will edit with songs eventually.

EDIT: Done
