90's is wrong

'90s is correct

The apostrophe substitutes for missing numbers or letters. 1990s -> '90s

Please start using the correct format

Than'k you

Chances are this'll be the last '90s we'll need to remember, so in a way we can just say 9's

That would be the case with I'm a 90's kid

... or would it be I'm a '90s' kid?

It's"I'm a '90s kid." It's an adjective.

Also this stuff is boring and if you take actual pride in grammatical precision then you're likely terrible at communicating.

its the ''''90'''''s'''''', thank you

Nope. People who take pride in this stuff haven't a clue exactly what it is they're taking pride in. It's less their capacity to communicate and more their capacity to adhere to rules.

Also it's apt that you'd be one of those people. You're the definition of self-aggrandizement by way of finding marginal flaws in others apropos of nil. I mean that's literally what most of the threads you make are about.

Then that's "right", but it's still a term that only recently came into use, so whatever you do with it just generally has to be clear. A series of apostrophes distinguishing two identical words are gonna confuse pretty much anyone at first. I'm not saying you can't say it, just that stuff like that has to be part of the decision to use them, I.e. you want the reader to slow down or take an exterior view of the topic.
